I worked with Frank Mott many years
ago when we were both in IT sales. He is a good guy, genuine, hard
worker. He takes care of his customers, and he loves Macs. Frank
has bought the store formerly known as Delaware Computer Exchange.
Now with new management and a new name, Mac Exchange is

Apple to Hold UK Press Event Sept. 18th
September 17, 2007 10:31 AM
MacNN reports that members of the British press are
receiving a mysterious invite to an Apple UK event, accounts say.
Sent by e-mail, the invite contains very
little information; primarily it directs people to Apple's Regent Street store
in London, where a press conference will be held September 18th,
starting at 10AM GMT (5AM EST). Instructions are given for
transporation and parking options. The only indication of the
conference's subject is a one-line header, "Mum is no longer the
word." While containing no specific references, speculation
suggests that the header is referring to the iPhone, which has so
far been absent from Europe.
Special Mac Event Tues Aug 7
July 31, 2007 07:32 PM
Apple
next week is expected to hold a Mac-oriented press event at its
headquarters in Cupertino, California. The Mac event, confirmed
by MacNN
sources, will be held on Tuesday,
August 7th and will cover Mac-related announcements, which many
insiders believe will bring a new iMac and an update to the
company's iLife
suite. The suite, bundled with all new
Macs and available for $50, contains applications such as iPhoto
for photo management/editing, iMovie for video editing, iDVD for
disc burning, GarageBand for music/podcast creation/editing, and
iWeb for webpage creation. The company last updated its iLife '06
suite of applications more than 18 months ago at Macworld Expo in
January 2006.
Several websites report that the event will not feature any announcements related to Apple's iPhone or iPod product lines. The event will begin at 10:00 am PDT at the Apple Town Hall on company's Cupertino-based campus. Apple chief executive Steve Jobs is widely expected to use the gathering to take the wraps off a new generation of 20- and 24-inch iMacs.

Jason O'Grady visits Mac Users of Delaware
April 25, 2006 07:26 PM
Jefferson Consulting was
there... as Jason D. O'Grady of PowerPage was the keynote speaker tonight at the
April meeting of the Macintosh Users of Delaware. Jason spoke to the
group about Apple's new Intel-based MacBook Pro
and brought his own unit to demonstrate all of the advantages of
this mobile computing powerhouse. He pointed out that in addition
to the Intel Duo Core processor, the MacBook Pro has a very fast
667MHZ backside bus, Serial ATA drive, a 67% brighter display, and
it is overall "faster than you can imagine."
Jason also discussed the newly announced MacBook Pro 17" model, and Apple's Boot Camp public beta software that allows Windows XP to run on an Intel-based Mac. In addition to Boot Camp, there is a new "desktop virtualization" solution for Intel Macs called Parallels Workstation, which will run XP and other operating systems "in parallel" with Mac OS X.
Jason also talked about his favorite toy which allows him to digitally record podcasts while he drives in his car.
He wrapped up his presentation with some background information about "The Case," resulting from a story he ran in November 2004 about a never-released Apple product. According to O'Grady, Apple wants the courts to compel his internet service provider to release all of his email so that the source of the "leak" can be discovered.
Jason O'Grady is a Mac technology columnist who has been publishing the PowerPage since 1995, long before blogging was ever invented. Fan pages such as O'Grady's PowerPage provide free PR for Apple and other tech companies, and offer up news, reviews and commentary that customers crave but cannot get from other sources.
